Domestic Waste
Domestic waste consists of household and general waste items, including everyday household junk, packaging materials, old toys, furniture, kitchen appliances, and garden waste.

- Garden waste
Allowed at additional cost
- Mattresses
Prohibited items
- Asbestos or material that might contain asbestos
- Fibro (fibre cement)
- Soil (unless you have a classification certificate)
- Liquids
- Food Waste
- Sanitary Waste Such as Nappies
- Any more than 2 wheelbarrows of building waste (such as bricks or concrete)

Building Waste
Building waste comprises new and old construction materials, including plasterboard, timber, bricks, and metal. Most of these materials can be recovered and diverted for recycling.

Prohibited items
- Asbestos (or any material that has the possibility of containing asbestos)
- Fibre cement unless it has a date proving that it does not contain asbestos.
- Batteries
- Soil, except trace quanties on other matrerials
- Non-construction materials

Concrete & Brick
Concrete and brick can come from demolished buildings, slabs, or walls and can include reinforcement bars. All of these components are recyclable.
